Keynote speakers announced for November Smart Transport Conference

Transport minister Trudy Harrison and deputy mayor of London, transport, Seb Dance have been confirmed as keynote speakers for November’s National Smart Transport Conference.

It will hear from the country’s leading policy makers and private sector experts on delivering transport decarbonisation and further keynote speakers will be confirmed soon.

With the theme ‘working together to achieve net zero’ it will take place at etc.venues, County Hall, London on 22 November.

It will cover all the key themes and topics surrounding the future of smart transport including how to decarbonise the commute, making the railways part of an integrated passenger and freight network, how the Road Investment Strategy (RIS3) will contribute to decarbonisation, planning reforms and their impact on transport, overcoming public backlash against new transport policies and using data to plan transport policies.

A host of other expert speakers from the public and private sectorshave also confirmed their place at the conference and a full line-up and agenda will be revealed in the near future.

The event will bring together leading experts from major transport authorities to offer the latest best practice guidance as part of a packed schedule of content covering the future of transport.

It will allow public sector delegates to learn how their peers are striving towards achieving their own goals and aspirations and will inform the private sector of the role they can play in helping the public sector with their long-term projects and visions.
