E-bike company Zoomo has launched the Sport in the UK, its next-generation e-utility bike priced from £2,200.
The new bike is aimed at the courier and last mile delivery market and features a battery that can last up to eight hours on a single charge and has a rear rack carrying capacity of 40kg.
Power is provided by a 250w rear motor and the Sport can be charged to full capacity in four hours. Smart features include remote locking and RFID contactless key activation.
Lisa Conibear, Zoomo regional director UK & Europe, said the company’s vision is to transition every urban delivery mile from cars and trucks, to light electric vehicles like e-bikes, e-cargo bikes and e-mopeds.
Businesses and riders can buy outright, rent-to-own or pay using a weekly subscription.
Each bike is available with a service and maintenance plan. This means that in the event a bike needs to be serviced, it will be fixed as quickly as possible or riders will be given an equivalent model while they wait to help reduce downtime.
Zoomo currently operates in Australia, the US and the UK, with expansion planned across key cities in Europe.
