After three packed days of content the first Virtual Smart Transport Conference has come to a close, but delegates can now gain free access to rewatch all the presentations during the show.
How to watch the presentations
Videos can be accessed by heading to the Agenda & Live Stream section of the Virtual Smart Transport Conference event website and choosing sessions to watch from across the three days.
The event featured thought leadership presentations from over 45 key stakeholders from the public and private sector, with opening statements from transport minister Rachel Maclean and Mayor for Greater Manchester Combined Authority Andy Burnham (pictured).
Maclean told delegates that UK transport is on the cusp of ‘radical change' in order to address climate change and Burnham said Covid-19 would not hold back Greater Manchester’s transport ambitions.
The conference was held in partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and was originally scheduled to take place at etc. venues Manchester Piccadilly, but subsequently went virtual due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, Smart Transport pivoted quickly to use its stunning events platform that was able to stream video content from all the speakers and host live Q&As with multiple experts following presentations.
There was also lively debate coming in from all the digital delegates as they were able to discuss presentations and then submit their questions for each panel to tackle.
Delegates were also able to network and collaborate with other senior smart transport experts on the practical steps needed for private sector solutions to turn the Government’s vision into reality.
In between each of the eight sessions, delegates could interact with virtual stands through ‘Smart Transport Fireside Chats’ with all the event partners, to get their opinions on how they can help facilitate the future of mobility.
The full agenda covered many topics including public and private sector collaboration, decarbonisation of the freight industry, active travel, autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, 'levelling up' towns and the lasting impact of Covid-19 on the industry.
For all of those that registered for Virtual Smart Transport Conference, you can now access all of the video presentations and live Q&A sessions for the next 60 days after logging in at virtualsmarttransportconference.com.
