REE Automotive is looking to transform last mile delivery with an autonomous vehicle solution targeted at delivery, e-retail and logistics fleets.
The Leopard is 3.4 m in length with front-wheel-steer, rear-wheel-drive and has a two-tonne gross vehicle weight rating, a 50kWh battery, top speed of 60mph and cargo volume of 5.1 cubic metres.
REE said the vehicle’s platform is flexible enough to allow customers to build autonomous and electric vehicle fleets according to their specifications, with the ability to pair the vehicle with any upper body vehicle structure or autonomous hardware system.
Daniel Barel, REE co-founder and chief executive, said: “This concept showcases just one design application of our technology, one that answers the strategically crucial question of how to carry out autonomous, zero-emissions last mile deliveries, which has huge growth potential.”
